The Switchback — Handmade Leather Keychain

Some things are built to be replaced. This isn't one of them.

The Switchback is our first handmade leather keychain, and we made it the way we make everything — slowly, by hand, and built to outlast the keys it carries. A single length of full-grain leather folds back on itself and locks down under a smooth cap rivet, so the ring rides low and your keys sit right where you want them. That fold is where the name comes from: like a mountain trail doubling back on the climb, the leather turns on itself for strength.

We didn't cut corners on the hardware, because the hardware is the whole job. Every Switchback wears a genuine Sling Lever Snap clip in solid iron or Brass — the same rugged, spring-loaded design trusted on gear built for hard use. Clip it to a belt loop, a bag, or a bench hook and it stays put. The heavy-duty 1" split ring holds a full set of keys without complaint.

Choose the leather that suits you. Cactus is a rich olive-green with an earthy, worn-in character. Bourbon is a warm, reddish brown that only deepens with age and handling. Pair either with Matte Black or Antique Brass hardware to finish it your way.
