Nineteen scents, hand-poured in small batches in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Every one of them is a beeswax and soy blend with a crackling wooden wick and phthalate-free fragrance — no paraffin, no dyes, nothing synthetic in the wax.

The Woods

Where the collection lives. Raw lumber, standing timber, and the smell of a shop at the end of a good day.

Appalachian Workshop

Cedar · Sawn Oak · Sandalwood

Our signature, and the closest thing we have to a self-portrait. Fresh-cut cedar and sawn oak over warm sandalwood, with a whisper of linseed oil underneath — the smell of a workshop floor at the end of a long day. It's a blend we mix ourselves, which means you can't buy it anywhere else. If you only try one, make it this one.

Heartwood

Mahogany · Teakwood · Dark Amber

Heartwood is the dense, dark center of a tree — the part that's stopped growing and started holding everything up. Rich mahogany and teak over cedar and a soft amber base. Familiar, grounded, and the easiest scent in the collection to love on the first breath.

Sawdust & Silk

Pink Pepper · Creamy Sandalwood · Soft Musk

Two things that shouldn't go together, and absolutely do. A dusting of pink pepper over sandalwood so smooth it borders on creamy, finished with a quiet musk. Rough and refined at the same time — the woodworking equivalent of a callused hand on good linen.

Copper Still

Rum · Birchwood · Sweet Hay

Somewhere back in the hollow, a little operation is running. Sweet hay and cinnamon over rum and birchwood, with tobacco and sandalwood settling in behind it. Warm, a little illicit, and about as Appalachian as a scent can get.

For the end of the evening. These three sit naturally alongside our whisky and cigar goods — and alongside each other.

Briar & Black Cherry

Black Cherry · Tobacco Leaf · Aged Leather

The one you've been asking us to keep making. Dark cherry over tobacco leaf and tonka, landing on worn leather, cedar, and vanilla. Briar is the wood a good pipe is carved from — which is exactly where this scent lives. Our longest-running favorite, and still the one people come back for.

Cigar Box

Peated Whisky · Cigar Leaf · Cedar

Open a good humidor and this is what comes out. Peated whisky and cigar leaf over cedar, amber, and vanilla bourbon. It's a blend we mix by hand, and it's meant to be lit in a room with a heavy glass in it. Unapologetically grown-up.

Barrel & Bean

Whiskey · Fresh Coffee · Vanilla Cream

The nightcap and the morning after, somehow in the same jar. Bold coffee and warm whiskey softened with a splash of vanilla cream. Sounds unlikely; works beautifully. This one has quietly outsold our expectations every time we've offered it.

Blue Ridge Bonfire

Woodsmoke · Clove · Balsam Fir

Not a fire pit in a driveway — a real fire, out under the pines, with the smoke drifting up through the branches. Woodsmoke and clove over sandalwood and patchouli, with fresh fir threaded through it. Our own blend, and the one that smells most like being outside.

Cider Run

Caramelized Apple · Bourbon · Maple

A "run" is a small mountain stream — and it's also what pours off a cider press in October. Caramelized apple and orange over bourbon, butter, and cinnamon, finishing on maple and vanilla. Sweet without being a dessert, and one of our most-requested every single fall.

First Pick

Crisp McIntosh Apple · Apple Blossom · Light Musk

The first apple off the tree, before anything's been cooked or spiced. Clean, crisp, and bright — no cinnamon, no pie crust, just the fruit itself. The one to reach for when you want fall in the room without the whole bakery.

Porch Light Pumpkin

Cinnamon · Nutmeg · Smoked Embers

Pumpkin spice with the sugar dialed back and the fire turned up. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove over buttercream and pumpkin, with smoked embers underneath. Named for the light you leave burning on the porch in late October — warm, spiced, and a little smoky.

Sweet Potato Hollow

Maple · Sweet Potato · Pie Crust

Sweet potato pie is real Appalachian holiday cooking, and this is it in a jar. Maple, cinnamon, and nutmeg over pumpkin and vanilla, settling into cream and buttery crust. Light it the week of Thanksgiving and watch people ask what's in the oven.

Cabin Cocoa

Dutch Chocolate · Whipped Milk · Madagascar Vanilla

Hot chocolate after a cold day outdoors — not a spa, not a candy shop. Deep Dutch chocolate over whipped milk, finishing on Madagascar vanilla and brown sugar. Rich, honest, and a longtime favorite that's never once needed changing.

Cabin Chai

Cardamom · Orange Peel · Warm Spice

Chai with the windows open. Orange peel, cardamom, and peppercorn over a full bed of warm chai spice, with an evergreen edge that keeps it from turning into a coffee shop. Spiced and cozy, but still unmistakably ours.

Caramel & Kindling

Salted Caramel · Tonka · Oud

A grown-up take on a sweet scent. Salted caramel and butter up front, but it dries down into oud and dark woods instead of getting sweeter. For anyone who likes a gourmand candle but doesn't want their living room smelling like a bakery.

Flannel Season

Bergamot · Mahogany · Cashmere Musk

A well-worn work shirt — soft at the elbows, still smells faintly of the woods. Bright bergamot over mahogany and cashmere musk with a touch of patchouli. Cozy, but with a backbone of real wood underneath it.

Forest Bath

Hinoki Cypress · Juniper · Eucalyptus

Named for shinrin-yoku — the Japanese practice of walking slowly in the woods to clear your head. Hinoki cypress with pine, juniper, and a cool breath of eucalyptus, infused with natural essential oils. The most restorative scent in the collection, and the one to burn when the house needs to breathe.

First Frost

Juniper · Red Berry · Cool Pine

That first sharp morning when the grass goes white and the air changes. Cooling camphor and clean ozone over red berry, landing on pine and juniper. Crisp and bright — the bridge between fall and the holidays.

Winter Woodpile

Balsam Fir · Cinnamon · Clove

The stack by the back door in December. Fresh balsam fir with a citrus top, warmed through with cinnamon and clove over a woody base. Our own blend, and our December workhorse — the closest thing to a tree in the house without hauling one in.
